How Do I Get Started?
There are many ways to implement the Strengthening Families initiative and this website is designed to help local United Ways through the process. Here you will find in-depth information on how to introduce and support the use of the protective factors in community work, a flexible framework for promoting projects that use the five protective factors; and a toolkit of supporting materials and activities that covers:
- Planning, Implementing, and Evaluating;
- Ways to implement UWSF including steps for UWSF@Work, allocation process, 2-1-1, community cafés, marketing, resource development, self-assessment, and training;
- FAQs;
- Resources, website links, and templates; as well as
- Voices of Experience, a section that includes videos and success stories.
